Forums - Sony Discussion - PlayStation 4 Gets The "Ultimate" Version Of Ultra Street Fighter IV

Guys, when they say "ultimate edition of SFIV" they're comparing it Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012

Those new characters and stages are the ones added into the game in Ultra (Decapre,Hugo, Elena, Rose, Rolento) and the "Omega" mode is free DLC for PS3/X360 owners.

The only new addition is bundling in the new costumes.

It's basically the same game as the one on PS3 right now.

Sony should ask Capcom with playstation all star while at it. I mean come on you already have deal with streetfighter with them.

Sounds like a solid package. Will pick up. All this needs is a demo for SF5

I love Street Fighter so I'm in!

I should be bored of Guilty Gear Xrd by then.

What I really want is a Virtua Fighter! Who's with me?

That SFIV has received multiple revisions is not surprising. This has been a thing since the early 90s. Street Fighter II had at least four revisions that I can recall (Championship Edition, Hyper Fighting, Super SFII, Super SFII Turbo, and probably others), SF Alpha was followed by SFA 2 & 3, and Street Fighter III had 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike.

What is surprising is that after 23 years, people still make a big deal out of it. It should be kind of expected for a Street Fighter game to have multiple revisions and pseudo-sequels.

Your post deserves an award.

Goddammit. And I have to buy it. I have no choice.
Which means I gotta get PS+ again.
They just better release a fight pad. That's all I'm saying.

SF V is coming to PC too, right?

That was a very smart move by Sony, I would not care much about SFV exclusivity if I could get SFIV in the Xbox One, and Sony just kicked me in the balls.

Yep, If you want to play next generation SF then you need PS4 or PC and mostly 70-80% will go with console as its plug n play to get it working and good multiplayer.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I've never played any Street Fighter games, the only classic fighting games I've played is BlazBlue and Tekken.
