Again, good review, Basil.  Even if I love the sequel TTYD MUCH more, the original Paper Mario is a game I always enjoy playing. Sure, there is not anything you can do after finishing the game, but during the game, you can go to the dojo, get all the badges, make all the recipes and other stuff.

Thanks :D!

Already did that through the game well except 100% on badges and 100% on recipes XD. Cant wait to play the sequel though :P!

You really need to play the sequel! The writting is even better, the story is arguably deeper and better, there is more optional stuff to do, the music is still top-notch, there are some interesting paper-based gimmicks and  the prologue  is SO much better. Why? You  have all the action commnads from the get-go!

I loved the game! For me it was 9.5/10.
I disagree with your ratings for length of time and replay value though. Back then there was no internet or anything so some of the puzzles were hard and took a while to figure out! I also replayed the game 3 times.

Nice *-*!

For me this was my third time playing through the game although it took me a bit longer cause of school + work! But when I first played the game I remember sitting through an entire saturday playing through the game straight from start to finish!

WOW, you must have been a smart kid! :0 Did you explore the places though like the desert, lava island, collect different badges and try different recipes? I suppose they can add to the replay value.

I remember forever forest used to creep me out when I was little. lol

Paper Mario is my favorite Mario RPG ever, it was so epic.

I also love the puzzles and the soundtrack, the music on the title screen reminds me the good ol' times.

Nice. I give MP a solid 9/10. My only issue with the game is that it is far too easy. TTYD has much more variety in combat / battles and is alot more challenging.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I'm only up to the beginning of Chatper 5, but It's amazing so far. I think the developer was Intellegnt Systems though.

Would love it if Nintendo would put this on the Wii U eshop!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Wait... you've never played TTYD? 0-0oo0
