Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Shin’en says Their new Wii U game will be Revealed in a “Next Weeks”

Nintendo need to snap these guys up, give them a bit of financial muscle and give them creative freedom to make some new western IPs (racers, fps). They are very talented devs who can work wonders with Wii U hardware, and i shall be purchasing all their E shop efforts.

a guy on this facebook group i'm in thought Fast Racing League (Wii) looked so good that he actually mistook it for the brand new WiiU game.

It is a great looking game, as per usual with Shin'en's work. Makes me drool to think what the sequel will look like on Wii U.

The crazy thing is, the original FAST Racing League is less than 40MB. There are N64 games bigger than that.

Thankfully, eshop doesn't have the constraining file size restrictions that Wiiware did.

Calling it now: it's Art of Balance Neo.

And I'm happy with that; Art of Balance on Wii was a fantastic little puzzle game with a nice calming atmosphere and gameplay that was accessible, yet ramped up to be very satisfyingly challenging.

"[...] I can confirm, that this will not be a simple port or remake of the Wii version..."

Already stated in the OP, it's a new series.

---

"... It will be a standalone, full new product and we try it to create the most exciting eShop game in 2014. "

Make it so, Mr. Sauter.

That part is referring to FAST Racing Neo. He doesn't say its a new series at all.

Don't sweat it man, Gonintendo made the same mistake when they reported the story, attributing that sentence to the new game instead of FAST Racing Neo.

Lived Iridion 2 and Nanostray.

Not tried their 3DS or Wii efforts but certainly looking forward to seeing what they can do with the Wii U.

If you liked those, Nano Assault Neo on Wii U is a good buy.

Thanks! Now I'm looking forward to see what gameplay changes they've come up for the FAST series. And wouldn't mind a new Art of Balance, the WW version was fun, specially in co-op... and the Gamepad could make the single player (or two-screen-co-op) easier thanks to its precise stylus controls.
