When DKCTF flops, will Retro be free to make Prime 4?

Or... and this is just a hunch... Maybe Nintendo knew that the game would be very popular, and produced enough copies so that there wouldn't be shortages? What exactly does sell through mean without the context of numbers produced? If Nintendo had 100% sellthrough, all that would mean is that they underproduced and missed out on sales.

Well, GC had a low installbase and even there Sunshine put stellar numbers.

If a game flops you expect nintendo to have SMG3+Metroid Ready for next year? Really? If they could work that fast wouldn't they be doing that from the start?

I'm not sure if Japan cares about anything console related these days. That's portable territory. I don't think we should use Japan as a gauge for success or failure.

DKCR won't flop as hard as Metroid, so you'll get DKC: Prime 4 where the villain is Mother Brain.

Yeah, but they already know it will flop. It isn't the same case as DK or 3D World where they expect to move consoles.

It seems like the GC escenario will repeat with the Wii U and we'll see more Nintendo traditional games.
