Of course they do. They're doing this ''war'' thing only in consoles division to make it fun.

Because Microsoft/ Nokia don't attack competitors

When you working for bigger corporation, you always find that your toughest competitors in one market can also be your closes partners in another. The company I work for goes both ways. We sale software that directly competes with MS but MS is also our closes partner and they regular come to our headquaters to work on deals to sale their software. We compete but also sale pieces of their software like Biztalk, Sharepoint, SQL server and some other smaller stuff. Its a very interesting dynamic that most companies go through all the time.

Huh? You're on a video game forum, and In the video game industry, Microsoft and Sony are indeed at war with each other. Outside of the industry, it's obvious they have a great business relationship. Nothing new..

certain divisions have a great relationship and certain division have a great competition.   that happens in huge multi-national companies.

...take me for instance.  on the other side of the company we "hate" siemens and battle them for sales daily.  on my side we collaborate for mutual benefit.

Competition is a very good thing.

Kaz is no longer President of SCE (Andrew House is), now he is the President of the whole company, I bet there are other divisions that need more attention. Besides, Andy is doing a terrific job.
