When you working for bigger corporation, you always find that your toughest competitors in one market can also be your closes partners in another. The company I work for goes both ways. We sale software that directly competes with MS but MS is also our closes partner and they regular come to our headquaters to work on deals to sale their software. We compete but also sale pieces of their software like Biztalk, Sharepoint, SQL server and some other smaller stuff. Its a very interesting dynamic that most companies go through all the time.
