I'm okay with this. From what I've seen so far, the two versions have their unique stages and stuff, so it's a decent trade.

Lame, I thought there would be but eh not a total loss.

"Customized characters" got me interested though, I wonder if it would have a "Create your Mii Fighter" or something like that.

Yeah, I've been thinking a Mii character would need to be customizable which would be a great addition to the franchise (if balanced properly)

That's okay, actually. I think the 3DS version will sell good enough to warrant an online mode of its own.

They'd have to be quite cautious about customized characters.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Seeing how both games have different stages and they are running on completely different tech I am ok with this. I am a big smash fan so I am getting both at launch no matter what. And I really what to know about this customization feature since they said it will not be about changing costumes.

I think it's because of the limitations of the 3DS hardware. They'd have to scale back some portions of the game for the 3DS version (Sakurai said something along those lines in an interview).

Ironically, this makes me more likely to buy both versions so it's probably a good thing from a sales perspective. Really looking forward to the next Smash. I dig that it looks closer to Melee than Brawl (which was too slow for me). Looks like they're listening to fan demands as well. Great!

Dont suppose they will be cross Buy or Cross Save either.

I hope the character roster is the same for both. That's all that's really important to me.

I don't see the point of limiting the Wii U version's roster because of the 3DS version if there's no cross-platform play.

Signature goes here!

As long as both have online play, that´s not a big deal. Besides, both games seems to have different designs.
If they have any kind of integration, like exchanging items or unlockables, then it will be a plus.
