Forums - General - Does Valentine makes more people happy or more people sad/depressive?

This week I saw a lot of friends/family/facebookfriends who said that they not care about valentine and how it is all bullshit....

In fact I was one of the few who enjoys Valentine even when I have no gf I would ask a girl to go out and have a drink or even just go out with some friends...

but today was an horrible crazy day,  one at work tried to commit suicide (Pills make you rather sick than die) and today I had so many calls from girls who were not happy even some were fighting with me for no reason.   (one even called me to say why I not liked her pictures on facebook and then started in rage mode how much she did for me and I nothing for her....  it ended with her in tears and saying sorry) .

I had an great Valentine evening untill I got the question 'Why so many girls called you'   I told her that those women needed attention but she believe they called me to wish me a happy valentine and went unhappy to bed....(Well good thing now I can spend more time chainsawing people online).

Well for me it was an happy valentine =p.

Anyway you had a good valentine?  Similar experiences?

I had a good Valentine's Day. But, the truth is, I don't really care about it.

It makes me more depressed since it reminds me that I'm a virgin, and single....

I LOVE ICELAND!

I had a nice day today. It felt just like yesterday minus the test I had then.
Overall I don't care about this day, since it's irrelevant to me. Once it has found a way to become relevant to me, then I will care.

I was busy with college from 5am to 7pm, not much time to worry about Valentine's day. Although it does remind me I still don't have a GF...

I find Valentines day a ploy by the chocolate companies so I refuse to participate in it.

Egh, my valentine's day was shadowed by disatisfaction with my new work. They're super-dragging their feet on training me, which i'm half okay with because they're paying me full rate + benefits to do very little for the moment, but also i really only have this job as a career stepping stone, i want to get some skills so i can jump to what i really want to do with myself, and i can't get skills if they don't train me...

I just tend to ignore Valentine's Day's existence. Once i get settled in a new city (preferably the DC metro area) i'll look into starting dating...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It was really hard to ignore the existence of Valentine... Commercials about valentine and on my way to work I saw stores filled with valentine presents.....even Valentine sushi...(sushi made in hearts)..

I don't celebrate this day we love everyone every day, yersterday in my university you can get a kiss from a girl for 1 dollars what a stupid thing they does.
