Japanese or English?

Xenoblade was the 1st Jrpg that I've played that gave the option to go with JP VAs and English subtitles. It felt like I was watching an Anime.

I have to say I was very glad that they gave me this option. I even wrote to Nintendo about how great it was that the gave the player the choice. (I mean come on lets face it a lot of the English voice actors are terrible. Hold! Hold I say!)

And now we see that the new Fire emblem game for the 3DS will also have JP voices. Might we start seeing a trend in allowing the players to choose which language they prefer? Will playing JRPGs become even more anime-like?

And if given the choice between JP and English voices, which would you choose?

(Inspired by the subbed vs dubbed wars in Anime.)

Man hopefully they'll keep doing it, original voices always have the ''feeling'', english original voices most of the times are good and some different language dubs are amazingly done too, but -english- dubs in particular, ugh...

I heard some french dubs and they sound wayyy better than English ones for some reason. Yeah I'd have to agree on the fact that yes there are decent dubs, but the English ones generally are worse.

I perfer English because I'm lazy and don't want to read everything. Unless the voice actors are just that terrible but I don't see too many that are. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't watch a good anime show in Japanese, but that's just it. It has to be good or I'm not wasting my time with it.

I usually go with the English voice action. Also my favorite JRPG this generation Lost Odyssey had pretty weak Japanese voice acting.
