When Sony takes the Vita and integrates that tech into a tablet or cell phone design with a full Android OS running on top of it.

That's when people might take notice. And also when games like this cost $9.99-$19.99 tops.

Otherwise, the age of the gaming-centric handheld is winding down in the West. At 23 years or so, it had a good run.

I have LBP2, but never even opened it, lol, so I'll be checking this one out, given its portable nature and the fact that I'm travelling a lot this fall, I'll be forced to play it more or less.

Ye I own a vita. I played the beta a few months back and was really impressed. Reviews are looking great too. Can't wait to pick this up.

I predicted this would have 88 metacritic on the metacritic prediction thread :D expecting it to stay in the 86-89 range when all is said and done

It's an entirely new game. However all the costumes you have amassed from previous lbp games will be transferred to the bit version.

Already pre-ordered it :D. Tarsier Studios are great and for them to make LBP was just an excellent combination.

Actually, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita completes the rule I save for most new consoles I buy these days which is "3 games I'd really like to play". In this case, it combines with WipEout 2048 and Gravity Rush to make the trinity which is enough for me to invest in the console. And there's an LBP bundle out too, which just makes it all the sweeter.

Unfortunately, I am broke as shit at the moment. And was planning on asking for a PSP for Christmas so I could play some of the UMD-only games that still exist for that. Now I'm so confused :(

It was a limited offer at a german store. I always look for games at stores who have no idea about games. They price most trash games at ridiculous prices and then they have real gems for a smile and a handshake. It's awesome.
