It may well be an excellent game, but it's not looking anything like a Metal Gear game. I'm beginning to understand how people feel about Resident Evil 4 & 5 now I think.

I'll still buy it and give it a try, once the price is right (I'm thinking about £20-25).

I'm having a feeling that once this game comes out, the people who will say that this was the best MGS game will be treated the same way as ppl who say Other M was the best Metroid game.

I think the problem is people need to differentiate this for metal gear solid and other previous games. MGR is a new series with a new focus. And I love the look of it. It's like Vanquish, with some stealth and swords. So much win

This. I'm fine with this game. I'm fine with more MGR games in the future. But it's important to not that this isn't like any of the other games in the series at all. It's a bigger change from the Metal Gear formular than RE 4 was for RE. I like that it's called Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance instead of Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance. Also, I like that the card games on PSP weren't called Metal Gear Solid, they were Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2.
