Just wondering if it's possible to download the PS3 Skyrim patch 1.05 on the PC?  my friend has internet, but it's so remarkably slow the system will not update the patch information and the game is glitchy as can be.  Well, my computer hooks up to his wireless with relative ease, but the system won't.  Is it possible to go to a site online to download the patch then put it on the system via memory stick?  

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  my buddy will appreciate it!

If you are a ps+ user, you can background download the patch.

his PS3 can't download, it times out.  I try to download it for him, and it says it'll take like 4500 minutes before making an error code.  why would he get PS+  if he is virtually incapable of doing anything online?

I would suggest hooking up with an Ethernet cable, or temporarily taking his PS3 somewhere where he can use wireless to download the patch. Maybe your house? Otherwise I think your friend is out of luck

Hmmm, pay money so you can download something to fix a PoS product that should have worked properly out of the box. The guy should write a nasty friendly letter to Bethesda and tell ask them they have to nicely if they could please send him the GOTY edition (assuming it's fully patched) because the original release was a PoS!! somewhat faulty.

My latest issue with Skyrim PS3 is each time I jump in the water (any water) the game freezes. It's so incredibly annoying

Yes, this happened to me, and many other people. You have to install the latest patch update, and if you already have it, then try deleting the game utility data for Skyrim and then when you run the game again, you will re-install it, and that should fix it.
