The first picture should have color, but it's not there. Wasteland never had a colorful world. It was like some people decided that they want to make a mature Mickey game and concluded that adults do not appreciate colors. By the looks of it, the second game won't be any different.
I have been in Eurodisney. It wasn't gray, brown and washed out.

That was kind of the point to the original Epic Mickey. Mickey's spilling of the paint thinner in Wasteland created a world that was "grey, brown, and washed out", but the point was that the true world was a bright, beautiful, and colorful world. Still, you can't deny the fantastic usage of color in the original game (especially in the numerous transition stages. Pluto's Dream comes to mind.). I don't doubt that The Power of Two will be the same.
Kind of reminds me of Skyward Sword's Lanayru Desert, especially visiting the sand sea... that part made me sad as I could sea the beauty of the ocean transformed into a vast desert.
Also... the game is pretty much a lock on for Wii U!
Epic Mickey: The Power of Two will surely be made available for the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. However, it seems that Junction Point Studios is also bringing the game to next-gen systems.
When asked which platforms Epic Mickey 2 is being made for, GTTV’s Geoff Keighley said, “It’s on next gen too!”
I'm so happy!

This information comes from Walt Disney Co. archive director Becky Cline…
“I couldn’t be more pleased. Once you give a character a voice, it takes it to a whole new level. I can’t wait for the public to see it and embrace Oswald the way that we have over the years in the archive.”
This information comes from Junction Point’s Warren Spector…
“I’m such a geek about musicals,. I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it’s magic.”
“It’s drop-in, drop-out co-op. You can sit down at any time with a friend who is playing as Mickey, and you can take control of Oswald. If you’re playing as a single player, Oswald will be there every second of the game. He’s not just a multiplayer character. He’s a helper, whether you’re playing alone or with a friend or family member.”
“We couldn’t ask people to care about this guy (Oswald) they’ve never heard of or no one has ever seen since 1928 in a Disney film. It was unrealistic to expect people to care in the first game, but now we know they care. We hear about it from players all the time. They really, really got into Oswald, which is hugely gratifying. ”
“We’ve had a team working on the camera from literally the day we finished the first game. They’ll be working on it until the day we ship the second game. (There have been) over 1,000 specific changes made to the camera. Our goal is that you will not have to touch the manual camera controls even once to play through the main story path of this game.”
“There’s always been one part of the (Disney) parks that I’ve always wanted to get into Wasteland. Frontierland has changed so much since it started. There’s so much forgotten history there, so Frontierland is going to get a pretty good exploration this time around, plus some other places that we’ll keep secret for now.”
