For weeks we've known the Nintendo 3DS would support paid downloadable content through the recently-announcedNintendo Network. Today Square Enixrevealed its DLC plans for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, the first game to support that type of material on the 3DS.
When the game launches on February 16 in Japan, Square intends to have eight songs available for download in addition to the content contained within the game. Songs will cost about $1.95 each. The company plans to add available content every 2-3 weeks, and will eventually include tracks from the franchise's side entries in those updates.
Here are the songs that will be available immediately as DLC, as well as the type of stage that will feature the song: FFII Battle Scene 1 (Battle Stage); FFIV The Final Battle (Battle Stage); FFIX Fighters of the Crystal (Battle Stage); FFXIII Fighting Fate (Battle Stage); FFV Hikari wo Motomete (Field Stage); FFVII Cosmo Canyon (Field Stage); FFVIII Ride On (Field Stage); FFX Someday The Dream Will End (Field Stage)

This week's Famitsu also revealed the presence of four-player multi-player. Players share a common health bar during a challenge, though have the potential to earn more XP than alone.
Keep in mind that Square has yet to confirm Theatrhythm is coming to North America, so don't get too excited just yet.
