It was a decent end of the trilogy, and an overall fantastic game. Though similarly to Uncharted 3 it just didn't live up to its predecessor.

Better than Gears of War 2 in every way but it lacked the new feel that Gears of War 1 and 2 brought it when it came to the singleplayer and co-op however the online MP was brilliant and a huge improvement from Gears of War 2. Unlike Uncharted 3 this game just gets more and more boring everytime and its not the kind of game that I can continue playing for months. However overall it is a fantastic game.

Better than Gears of War 2 but lacks the "fresh" feel in my opinion.

I never really was able to care for the story and with the trailer, I actually thought perhaps it would bring me in. The co-op was what made the game fun for me. I had a fun time with the MP but the constant Shotgun being your all around weapon in Gears 2 made me just want to throw my controller xD. Gears 3 did improve on that but the multiplayer is just.. getting old. (i'm mostly a SP fanatic fyi)

Co-op is still fun as fuck, I might add and Horde 2.0 is a blast.

A good game.

+ 4 player online campaign.
+ Looks stunning, great boss battles. (Berserker is, well........ Bezerk)

- Horde mode didn't quite have the same impact for me as Gears 2 horde did.
- The DLC is frankly starting to p*ss me off, reach level 100 AGAIN ect...... there are other games out there that i want to play E.P.I.C.

I'll go ahead and give it a 10/10.

If I were being hypercritical, I'd give this game a 9.5/10 for not completely reaching my very high expectations. I'm a huge Gears of War fan; I even bought the Epic Edition for £100 on launch day... I expected it to blow me away like God of War III did, unfortunately it fell ever so slightly short, nevertheless it was by far the best exclusive of 2011 and one of the best games in general. 

Pros:

• +Graphics are beautiful.
• +Pacing is great.
• +OST is more varied and memorable.
• +Great voice-acting.
• +Good story.
• +Great multi-player.
• +Varied locations.
• +Enemies are varied.
• +Beast mode is awesome.
• +The easter-eggs are hilarious! Epic sure love chickens.
• +Speaking of chickens, the ability to grenade-tag a chicken and watch it run over to an enemy in a panic and blow up NEVER gets old.

Gears 3 is better in every conceivable way to the other Gears game but after a while both the online and horde mode got rather boring for me.

Pros: 

- Good graphics.

- All of the medals, commendations and stat tracking were awesome.

- Horde mode 2.0 was really fun for a while.

- I actually enjoyed the multiplayer until....

Cons

...it became infested with only shotguns.

- The campaign bored me and I completely lost interest in it.

This game was tied for my fav game of the year with Batman AC. The multiplayer is awesome the co-op is awesome the new playlists events and unlockables are awesome this game, this was my most played game of 2011 and will prob take that title again in 2012 if they keep up the unlockables and events and DLC.

This was by far the best game in the series.

All the Gears ''Vets'' like myself enjoy the shotgun infested game we call Gears of war. Epic games took a shit on there fanbase by overpowering the rifles, like the lancer and the retro and the hammy. To make it worse they made stopping power worse and the gave the Gnahser a fewer bullets thus forcing ''US'' Vets to use other guns like the lancer,retro and hammy which we hate using. Not only that but they added the noob gun we call the saw-off =( they wanted to get the cod community and the halo community by doing this. And took a big Shit on the vets ='( LOL i've been playing gears since 2006
