I'd like to see them go back to Cafe. I think it perfectly encapsulates what they're trying to do. Call it Wii Cafe if they want to keep the brand.

It´s funny, first time you say WiiU, you go really Nintendo?
Then someone asks what would be a better name, and I seriously don´t know a better name to call a console after the hit that the Wii was.

I didn't think Wii was a good name for a console when I first heard it but I was wrong. Then again, one could make an argument for the Wii brand being a damaged brand and I can easily see the public being confused by Wii U and simply thinking it's an upgrade to Wii rather than a new system. People are stupid.

sure people got confused by the 3DS being a DS but with some commercials clearing that up and it has sold more than 15m making it the fastest selling console ever! if they remove the "Wii" from the next console they might risk losing the strong sales they might have gotten if it had "Wii" in the name.

i think they should keep it as the confusion will ware off eventually anyway plus the design of it, if designed not too look like a Wii people will know the difference. the 3DS looks like a DS with an analogue stick and a bigger top screen so its not just the name that caused the confusion.
