i wasnt expecting much really.
i have no fondness for western rpgs and couldnt get interested in the very acclaimed skyrim.
but this demo was a nice surprise, i really enjoyed the game.
anyone else tried it?

Tried it this morning. Not blown away by it but no major criticism either. Though it did keep bugging out with loss of sound and conversation skips (ps3) though I may have just had a corrupted download/install
i played it on ps3 too and had no such problems =S might be a bad download like you said
I did tried the demo I had lots of fun with it. I made my character look almost identical to Kratos I also made him wield duel daggers and gave him the lighting spell.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Was playing it on my 360 and loved the game. I'm primarily a jrpg guy and didn't really like wrpgs, but this is the first one i really enjoyed. Plus the art style is brilliant, i prefer it much more to the gritty and dirty look of other wrpgs.
i swear i thought it was a short demo and i finished it lol.. then i read about the mass effect stuff and wondered why i didnt get it. so i tried again and i think i just quit the game lol.
I enjoyed it quite a lot. I like the art style. It's a mix like between skyrim and WoW. The music was good too but the best part was the fighting mechanics. They work perfectly. Dodging, quick switch between primary and secondary weapons, quick magic and skill cast is so much better than that bore fest skyrim.
My only problem was locking on to an enemy. Either i did not find a way to do it or it doesnt have that in game, cause I was constantly and randomly switching between enemies and had to literally stand next to the enemy to focus it.
I look forward to it and like Dark Souls, I will rent it for about a week then make a decision to buy or not from that.
Too much Fable in all respects. Simple and easy combat, cartoon graphics, childish characters and dialogue, invisible walls, too much hand-holding, false open world, too many anachronisms and so on.
As it somehow also reminded of Dragon Age it was also very apparent that Amalur will be a much weaker game (Dragon Age: Origins is fantastic).
It started good but I got bored, I'll maybe rent it.
The demo was actually very nice. I wrote a preview of the game on my blog after playing it. The combat is fun, the story, while generic isn't badly written and the characters (barring the protagonist) have vivid personalities.
Read my blog. it exists. No really, it does. I kid you not.
