Forums - Gaming Discussion - What happened to modern warfare 3?

The vast majority of BF fans have been an absolute DISGRACE these last few months.

Every shred of MW3 news in the lead up to the release was dominated by comments made by these "so called" gamers

BF fans say that MW is for kids/too childish ect, so what do they go and do? they take it upon themselves to go out of their way and visit every site with a user review section (amazon, metacritic ect) and post a bunch of pathetic low scores.

And i'm sorry, but theres no doubt in my mind that a fair chunk of these BS comments have been made either by EA employee's thermselves OR people that EA have paid off to make these comments on their behalf.

BTW............ another COD without an online pass............ exactly how many EA games have online passes?

Absolute jokers EA.

And a message to BF fans posting MW reviews........... GROW UP...... you are acting more immature than the age you "claim" the average COD player is.

If you actually think about it, releasing the same game over and over again with minor gameplay teaks and graphical improvements is nothing new, all games do it because thats what sequels are: an updated version of the original game. The only reason Call of Duty gets all the stick over Halo, Gears of War, Killzone, Uncharted, Gran Turismo and Forza is that it is released every year.
But then there are other franchises like Fifa and Assassin's Creed that also release yearly instalments, but manage to dodge the bullet. This is going to be the third straight year I buy Assassin's Creed, but I love the series so I'd rather they release the same game as opposed to ruining a gameplay formula that works.

Really, if millions of people are going to line up every year in to buy the game in this economic climate, Activision (as well as EA and Ubisoft) would be committing commercial suicide by not complying.

I dont think its fair to compare those games to COD, there have been 3 GOWs this gen. Only 2 KZ games this gen, 3 Uncharted, 1 GT and 2 Forzas?? You cannot compare that to the SEVEN COD games that have released this year. ACs, that title only just went yearly. AC2 was a major improvement over 1, Brotherhood added multiplayer and im not sure what Revelations will do. Fifa is a sports games so i think those are exempt, not that i buy them myself

The Wii Score is the funniest. I was looking at it earlier today.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3

It was at a 0.7 earlier today. I guess a few real user reviews made their way on there today. haha.

I don't consider user scores reasons to call a game a flop. I do think this won't be able to sell as much as Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops but it will still go on to be the highest selling game of the year...

It's funnier because its not even out yet. Release date is Friday for Wii.

Its the Justin Bieber effect . Its got nothing to do with the game itself....more to do about its popularity.

All those reviews probably came from 4chan users. Don't know what 4chan is, then l2 internet.

It's really cool to hate on popular things, and gamers can't stand how popular MW3 is so they take it out on their user scores.

But no matter how many 0's it gets it will sell ass-loads and most of the people will enjoy it. Which will make the haters hate on it more, because the only thing they can't stand more than a popular game selling a lot is that people might actually be enjoying the game.

LOL, the fanboys of both ps3 and xbox exclusives unite to attack MW3!

CoD is what it is. If you didn't like the first MW, you most likely won't like the rest of them. My guess is people trolling and hating. Don't get me wrong, I hate the franchise but I'm not into that kind of defamation. For those who enjoy it, have at it. I will stay far away from it however.
