Personally, I'd like to be able to create my own character.  I'm up for a story mode and the ability to record my on dance routines, too.

I agree about character customization, good way to introduce guns to the series.

obviously some split screen action. Thats all this game is missing to be the best party game ever.

For me the stuff that would make it just about perfect is

A) A fun story mode. Something where you like Dance the World and have different locations with Country specific dances or something like that. Would be a lot of fun and can't really think of any other "story line" that would work for a danceing game unless it was like America's Best Dance Crew on MTV

B) Full character customization. Seriously this HAS to happen.

C) Custom Dance Routines would be awesome though understandably somewhat difficult to implement. Still would be cool.

D) Full online ranked danceing. With lobbies where players waiting to dance could watch friends or teamates perform and could have like tag-team battles and stuff like that.

Most of the stuff that I wished was in the original will be in the new one like splitscreen co-op, story mode, dance battles, etc. The one thing that I'm still disappointed that wont be in Dance Central 2 will be versus mode over XBL. The game will have leaderboards, but why not add Versus over XBL??

Story Mode, if I were to make this game:
-You create your character (or choose from 1 or four pre-existing characters) and dress them out in some cheap clothes. The game begins
.
-You start off outside the mall with your sidekick and decide it's "Time to make some money". Your goal is to perform certain dance moves and get the crowd excited. The higher the score, the more money you make. Get high enough and some of the crowd will even join in, like back up dancers in some sort of urban High School Musical (I've never seen any of those movies, btw). This goes on for a few levels.

You meet another dancer on his/her way (To be continued). Damn schedule.

Interesting, it sounds like a story mode I'd like to play. As long as they stay away from Rock Band's "career mode" that forced you to play the same tunes over and over and over and over I'll be happy.

Signature goes here!

Why are people asking for split screen co-op when it's already announced that the game is going to feature same screen two player dancing?

^^^My story ends with a Dance off where you and your rival join forces to out-dance aliens on the White House lawn. The fate of the world is at stake!

Maybe not but it wouldn't be boring. I'll have to edit when I get home, tonight.
