Wii price cut did nothing it seems.

At least it prevented the Wii from dropping below PSP/PS2

It wouldn't drop below those anyway, I mean it was ineffecitve, like putting more water to water, no reaction.

It probably wasn't ineffective, but just very weak.

Needed a bigger one, like $100 or $150, also some games.

wait a 150 price drop? LOL you want them to give them away for free or something? :P

Everything in the USA has had deals in 2011 - Wii less so after the price cut, but still some. There are Kinect / X360 deals every week, PS3 deals every week, DS bundles, 3DS SW discounts, PSP discounts, etc etc. It honestly should all be about a wash since the deals are now for everything.

So... Whats the logic behind your Wii being correct, PS3 being overtracked 100k statement?

jesus f christ -- shockingly awesome so far!

Any explanation for the massive 360 jump? Just WOW @ almost doubling from prior month. Great for MS if true but just seems like a really odd jump with no real reason behind it.

a jump was expected as this month has 5 weeks instead of 4 last month

That would explain part of the jump. But man does that make it look like PS3 and Wii just crashed and burned for the month of June. It is just really odd to see that kind of jump in sales at this time of year from any of the consoles.

wait isn't the wii available for around 150 already bundled with several games...? if they cut around 100 it will be the same price as a ps2 :P

MS doesn't need a new console. Heck MS doesn't even need a pricecut even though the last major pricecut happened in 2008.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

So basically if we use these numbers the 360 was/is first worldwide currently.

And if the PS3 sales are right 360 is ahead of it by around 20k a week. That is if they are correct.

But doubt this site will correct the numbers.

Indeed. I honestly see the 360 (And the PS3 for that matter), being on the market for a looooooooooong time yet.

2012 for Nextbox? With these sales? Keep dreaming!
