Forums - Nintendo Discussion - More proof the NOE is starting to become better than NOA!

If you mean European DS games, I'm pretty sure you can play all of them out of the box. Dsi and 3DS games are locked though, as far as I know. Regarding the Wii... well, you just need to put a little elbow grease into it

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

where their console sells the most it has the least games. if you ask me more games come out in Europe to encourage more console sales :P

seems like NOA is satisfied with the sales in the US

or they are just lazy!

Pretty much this, IMO.

It's the adult, business-oriented way of thinking. Ignore the present at all cost! Always do the opposite of what makes sense at the moment in order to plan for some unforeseeable future that you delude yourself into thinking you can predict. Continue this line of practice even when you lose money, and call it "Strategical Planning" to give the impression you know what the hell you are talking about

We all witnessed how it worked wonders financially on Wii this generation!

I read this article a while ago and remember finding out that Kuru Kuru Kuriin was never launched in the US, I always assumed it had.

I feel like the article occasionally sounds like whining when it comes to some releases where Europe got it first by a trivial time span, games like Pokemon B/W and the 3DS. I personally don't really care too much about delay unless they extend into several months and years. Brawl is a good example (US got it 09/03/08, Europe - 27/06/08) and that was only bad due to the very high profile nature of the game and the fact that everybody when on and on about the game on forums in that 3 months.

Those kind of delays can also be justified IMO, such with the example of Pokemon D/P (US - 22/04/07, Europe - 27/07/07). The European release was just as the U.K state school summer holidays were starting, a wise and almost certainly deliberate move, given Pokemon's popularity with school aged gamers.

Being British, I'm loving what NoE are doing at the moment and applaud them for doing so. What I would personally like to see them do though it to strike a deal with Atlus, where all games published by Atlus on Nintendo platforms in the US will see European launches by NoE. That would be a dream come true for me.

My advice to Americans wishing to play games not localised on the Wii is to mod or import. Last year, I imported a n NTSC PSX along with 10 games which never saw light in Europe. (Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Dragon Quest/Warrior VII, Valkyrie Profile, Tactics Ogre, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia/Destiny II and Arc the Lad I - III), I've never regretted it even for one second and I'm now planning in the future to import an NTSC SNES just for Earthbound.

Games are more expensive here so it would be a better ROI then when they release it in the US.... not that I'm happy we pay more for the same games...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I think I'll just leave this here....
(scroll down to the second part of the release list)

"Those who are anticipating the impending launch of Xenoblade Chronicles, the action-packed role playing game (RPG) exclusive to Wii launching on 19th August, will soon get to experience two new RPGs exclusively for Wii, as The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower will both be making their European debut on Wii in 2012."

If Nintendo won't localize them, then I'm importing an EU Wii when I can (but not a slim model).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

So far, in comparison to NOA, NOE has

  • Localized more recent games
  • Gets Zelda earlier
  • Plans on releasing a hardware revision
  • Promotes more games
  • Speaks more often to the public
