What are some games you are looking forward to that seem to go unnoticed on VGChrartz?
Hitman V is my most anticipated game of 2012 right now, but most people aren't even mentioning it. What's wrong with you people? The greatest stealth series of all time (arguably) makes it's first appearance this gen and there are maybe two or three people that care. I hate you all. The Hitman series is about placing you in an open-world environment and allowing you to use your creativity and imagination to take out your targets. This will be one of the few games where the only limitation is your brain.
I'm a little worried that they will make the game too easy by adding in things like instinct mode and linear, cinematic levels but I'm still pumped. I can't wait to spend days failing on one level over and over just to achieve the highest rank possible.
Dark Souls also seems to be underhyped around here. Quite strange considering most people here loved Demon's Souls so much. This my most anticipated game this year. It's not as underhyped as Hitman, but still, the sequel to the game of the generation (arguably) should be much more hyped then it is. I see myself dying many many times in this just like Hitman. I'm so pumped!
You have to give credit to From Software for creating such a difficult game in a gen when nearly every game could be completed by mindless, random button pressing with no brains needed at all. And then, they go out and promise Dark Souls will be even harder and double the length of Demon's Souls. This game is gonna be awesome times 2
Starhawk is also underhyped IMO. But this is somewhat understandble considering Warhawk wasn't very popular on here. I'm not too concerned though, I think the hyped will pick up as it nears release. It has the advantage of being a PS3 exclusive, so it should be mentioned a lot on here. Many sites has been giving it Best Multiplayer & Best PS3 game awards for E3. This game will possibly be my most played game of 2012. I can't wait
Deus Ex: Human Revolution should also be bigger IMO.
