Its not a matter of underestimating the iPhone, but clearly the 3DS is capable enough on that point. Certainly in the effects department, and the raw power department is one that is hard to assess pound-for-pound (especially against a multipurpose device with a stronger persistent OS, and one with a far less resource-consuming OS)

Well those specs 3DS IGN released didn't blow anyone away... Im sure Epic could port Unreal engine to it but whats the point?  Doing what tey do on PS360 and PC have bought them ferraris and they don't need to make games they don't want to make and milk the "cash cow" for the sake of getting paid.

Crytek hasn't gone out of their way to make such statements, while Epic has on numerous occasions.

You keep talking as if these statement hurt you or something. The Iphone has much higher specs than the 3DS from what we have seen or heard. It doesnt maen the 3DS is not powerful, it certainly is, but don't expect mind blowing either.
