Splinter Cell (as a series) is more realistic, relies more on stealth, and typically (although probably not this time) has better graphics.

Metal Gear (series) is typically more innovative, more story/character driven, and much more endearing.

Both suck, as Splinter Cell stealth has become so dumbed down.

If we're looking at SC 1-3, then SC all the way.

I voted Metal Gear. Double Agent was the first Splinter Cell game I played and it's also the last.

In my possession at this very moment is every single non-portable Metal Gear (including 8-bit and special editions ie: Substance/VR Missions) AND every single non-portable Splinter Cell.

My vote is for Metal Gear.

I was a little let down by MGS4, though. When I get my hands on Conviction, I can give a more accurate comparison. Historically speaking, I gotta stick with the Snakes (Solid, Naked, Old, Raiden)!

Neither is really that good IMO. I haven't played any SC game besides the demo on XBL and that was shit.

umm yous voting on #1 MGS4 which has been out for a year... #2 SC:C not even out, interesting. No one has even played the new SC:C. But alls fine vs MGS4 the movie? less gameplay and more viewing.
