Best ever - Command & Conquer
God, that was a brilliant game. My first contact with the genre at all. I used to build Orca's and Medium tanks forever.

okay i have to change mine i forgot how many times i played that demo, the level 3 on that one ... build sand bags all the way down the map keep the enemey just alive enough so that i could screw around on the map... damn that was fun

Batman Arkham Asylum was the best demo I ever played.
Crysis would be second.
