I also imagine nintendo would want this to work with the nunchuck as well. It wont affect old games, because there would be no input code to interact with the new peripheral. I imagine only most trusted game developers new about this, so don't expect it in any games apart from Nintendo or any 1st party relations. Only big companies like EA could of got this update for the devKit in time. It will be interesting though.... |
While this is true that it doesn't affect code, they could modify the returned acceleration values (make them more accurate). Although this wouldn't give the top performance that would include gyro/rotation information, it would improve the response.
