So apparently now Madden 27, NBA2k27 and COD MW4 will all be 60fps for Switch 2.
I'm so impressed and truly shows how small the gap has become and reaching the point of diminishing returns.
The Switch 1 wasnt at all this close to the PS4, all the sports games ran at 30fps and pretty much any other big AAA port from PS4 would drop from 60 to 30 on Switch 1and tbh a good amount of cases even the resolution and texture differences would take a big hit in those ports.
With Switch 2 ports now getting 60fps is common with even bigger games you wouldn't expect lile COD of RE9, while also feeling like the exact same game with all the same textures and maybe some slight resolution differences. Truly impresses me how the Switch 2 now closely resembles those other consoles this much now.
Realistically with Switch 1 ports you had to settle with quiet a bit of drawbacks, I can't say the same with Switch 2 ports where its pretty much close to PS5 version while also having ability to play on the go. Now you can argue Switch 2 owners might not need a PS5.
Truly impressed, however unfortunately amongst the casual gaming crowd they don't really see the Switch 2 as that big 3rd party game console yet thanks to that stigma Nintendo has built for around 30 years now. I see alot of people still doubting COD would be able to run on it and don't know alot of these big 3rd party games are on Switch 2 as well, so It might take a while before people realize it. But definitely impressed with alot of these ports.
