[Source.] Original quote: "Some people might say there are a lot of remakes, but after five years, a lot of people have outgrown games and stop playing them. Young people today don't have the opportunity to play games from 10 years ago, so remaking them to be more playable and releasing them again is a good way to meet the demand. Letting people know the original games also leads to future developments, so we've been actively pursuing that recently."

Star Fox fans feeling good right now? Who knows, maybe we’ll see a new Another Code or Advanced Wars some day.

I've been wandering when we were going to resume this topic after the game launched.

But this post is to talk about the other cursed IP in Nintendo's fleet, Advance Wars. That poor, poor thing just cannot catch a break.

  • Launched in America within a day of Sept. 11, 2001. It's name is Advanced Wars. If you were in America around that time, I don't have to explain the significance of this to you. The game never launched on its own in Japan.

  • AW2 was also not released in Japan. It didn't get any AW until 2004, when the first two games were released on a single cart. I guess that made it worth the wait if you're getting two games for the price of one.

  • AD: Days of Ruin didn't get a Japanese release at all.

  • AW 1+2: Reboot Camp was originally set to release in December 2021. But because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the game got delayed indefinitely. It finally eventually got a quiet release with practically no marketing on April 21, 2023. Another Nintendo game happened to be launching just a few short weeks away; you may of heard of Tears of the Kingdom...

I remember going into Wal-Mart and buying Reboot Camp. The Wal-Mart employee was blown away that I was getting it instead of TotK like everyone else, and congratulated me on being so Bohemian, lol.
