My thoughts exactly. It's been ten years, the next generation is ongoing, and studios might already have to prepare for the generation coming after the current one. The same team size simply doesn't cut it, and the downsizing will require a lot to compensate for. It's not necessarily impossible, but I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding the scope and/or release schedule of id's next game. Also, it's probably going to be more Doom.
