Hopefully this means that id will mitigate the risk of spending too much on new games and can be successful with the audience they bring in without having to set the gaming world on fire.

Same size as when they made Doom (2016). So they will survive, but the next game might take longer and be a bit of a smaller scale. Unless they outsource.
