At this point can we call this the biggest uproar in PS history, or is the 2005-2006 PS3 controversy still bigger?

The 2011 PlayStation Network outage uproar is probably to date the biggest uproar and lowest point. Sony ended up ok to say the least for the rest of PS3's life and has done well since but that was low.

As far as longer lasting problems, the PS3 reveal, Concord in 2024 (the failure of betting too big on live service), and now this in 2026 are probably the other biggest uproars.
