There are plenty of gamers to sell to, they just need to decide who to target, and they need to offer consumers what they want and/or can afford.
A PS4 launch mentality is what's needed at the moment, not a PS3 launch mentality.
For MS:
- They need to drop the Series ecosystem and move on to Helix period. What they decide to do with Helix exactly is anyone's guess.
For Nin:
- Launch a more affordable SW2 Lite sooner than later.
- Launch an even more affordable SW2 Home console.
For SNY:
- They launch PS5 SS and Pro Slim asap, reducing prices, while hoping chip prices stabilize/fall by 2030 so they can launch PS6.
- They launch PS6 holiday 2027 as planned, but have a $500 or cheaper base model, whatever that performance ends up being.
- They launch a brand new $500 or cheaper (5TF?) PS5 model asap and extend the gen until 2030 or longer. Probably longer.
PS1 - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.
PS2 - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.
PS3 - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.
PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
PRO -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.
PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
