Where are you seeing that? Crash sold half its units before launching on Switch? All I’m seeing is 2.5mil in its first three months, 10mil by February 2019 (NS1 version launched late June 2018). Same question for Sonic Fronteirs. |
It probably sold 6-7 million copies before the release of the other versions. So more like a third or less. It had solid legs and a strong holiday season that helped it keep up with Horizon Zero Dawn (sold 7.6 million within a year). It comfortably outsold Horizon in the UK 2017 with a fewer months on the market, but it fell behind in the majority of markets.
If I had to guess the final sales split, it's 52% PS4, 29% Switch, and 19% between Xbox and PC.
