Anywoo, as for my impressions of the reveal,
I was completely taken by surprise by the first images because I didn't hear the moment Koizumi referenced "a new game coming" 😂
Coming from the promises of something new after the Trilogy was over. The different stylings and the changing of sets (With an academy/school no less) threw me for a lil spin until we saw some shots of them going through the fields which definitely screamed Xenoblade to me.
The inverted planet with the Six suns, the importance/omnipotence of Anima in this world are the most intriguing parts to latch into so far.
Just seeing the density in the new environments tells me they really worked on their new rendering this time around which will benefit more seamless traversal.
Funny thing, I don't think the school setting is meant to stay really long. That's not the way a series like Xenoblade operates usually. This is likely a way for them to settle the player into a tutorialization of its mechanics and lore. After that back to globe trotting it'll be
