I don't know. A modern source of morals is humanism, which is based on rationality.
But more importantly, humans with emapthy (but also other things AI lacks like greed, derision, anger, hubris) are the reason for all the wars, all discrimination, torture, murder, mutilation, slavery, bullying so far in human history. I am not sure that all these emotions make us great at moral agents.
Don't say AI should steer us, but I don't fear it irrationally either. The rational stance is to fear humanity.
