Unless things get a lot better until late 2028 (launch windown IMO) the PS6 is very likely going to ve over $600, the PS5 costs $650 right now.

Even with Sony being ok with taking a decent hit to sell PS6s early on, $700 is our best hope right now. I do believe things will be better by late 2028, so at least there is still some hope in me that $600 is possible by then.

You are most optimistic than I am.  I hope to be wrong, and very well could, but I would be stunned if the ps6 isn't $800.

The ps5 is roughly a 6700xt, the ps6 needs to be targeting a 7800xt to have a large leap?  I mean that is a $600+ GPU straight up.  I think anything less than 32 gb of ram is a terrible idea, so add another $400..  still need a PSU, CPU, MB, case, storage, etc.  I get Sony will get better pricing, but I don't see how they could possibly stay anywhere near $600.

I do think the AI price hike will be considerably better by November 2028, when I expect the PS6 to release. That plus Sony actually having to try to sell it, so they need to hold the price as much as they can, makes be believe $700 is a decent possibility.

I think the PS6 should be $600 max, that's what I would be betting at if we never had this ridiculous price hike we are going through, so I still hope it is possible, but I really can't say its more than just hope right now.
