My PS4 friends have only ever had PS consoles since PS1 or PS2. The fact that some are seriously considering an XBSS, tells me that the potential for a big sales boost is more likely going to favor MS instead of SNY. If they get an XB, most of the others will as well. Not sure what I'd do myself at that point because I'm not exactly thrilled with SNY's first party output this gen.

I mean, the Series S is $430, it's more expensive than the PS5 Digital was at launch, so it's not actually cheap either.

Anyway, it's good they have a cheaper option regardless, but the bulk of people buying it, it they can, will very likely be directed towards what the marketing will push them.

Yes but that's also when XBSS was $299, so both it and the PS5 Digital was seen as affordable, where are PS5 and XBSX were borderline. Peoples incomes aren't increasing at near the same rate as inflation, so XBSS at $430 today is pretty much seen as the only GTA console that's affordable.

Marketing will only make a major push for the more expensive consoles (besides launch week) if it's advertising good enough deals at this point.
