I'd hope so, because some of my friends, all who are still on PS4, went from looking into XBSS, to seriously considering going that route so they can play GTAVI. Maybe a year or more ago, I brought up that the cheapest way to play GTAVI could very well see a considerable boost during the launch window, along with the following year, and that piece of hardware is an XBSS. That's even more true now because the PS5 was borderline affordable back then, where as now it's out of reach for some and the XBSS looks even more appealing than it did. |
If it runs well on the Series S and all they care is playing GTA VI, it's a good thing they have this cheaper option.
I think this kind of game that pushes hardware a lot will end up getting people to look for the PS5 or XSX instead, every social media will be flooded with so much talk about how good it looks and how technically impressive it is, I'm pretty sure FOMO will hit a lot of people but I expect it to be mostly FOMO for the "best" experience too. IMO this game had a great potential to explode the PS5 Pro sales but it took so long to release and now the PS5 Pro is nearly $1000...
