What would the alternative be for families anyway? Instead of a Switch, buy an expensive Switch 2, PS5 or Xbox Series S/X, or maybe a gaming PC or laptop? Probably not. Older game console like 7th or 8th gen, why not ? Or even low end PC/laptop that can play light games, or heavier older ones. Or play on the smartphone you have. Nowadays you can play games on it even if it's old. There is always alternatives.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
