The top contenders for me are probably Undertale, Doki Doki Literature Club, OneShot, Hollow Knight and To the Moon. The former is an incredibly charming RPG with a god tier soundtrack, the 2nd and 3rd have really impactful stories and characters that utilize the medium of video games to do something unique with their stories and characters, the 4th is metroidvania bliss and the latter has the most direct emotional impact of everything I have ever played thanks to its beautiful story. I'd consider all five of those absolute must plays.
