Switch Sports may not quite be the cultural phenomenon that Wii Sports was back in 2006, (kinda like Pokemon never quite managed to top R/G/Y) but it's a highly successful game that shows this kind of game is very much relevant in today's market.

That's probably a bit of an understatement, lol. 

The number of games in history that have been as culturally transcendent as Wii Sports is a short list.

It's a bit like how no PS console after the PS2 was anywhere near as dominant, but that doesn't change the fact that PS4 and PS5 are highly successful systems; likewise, Switch Sports is a highly successful games with a level of sales most games would kill for.
