Metroid is niche and has never sold particularly well so Nintendo may have figured it needed all the help it could get, while Kirby sells better so they probably reasoned there was more demand for it, hence a higher price.

Hmm, but they can see it's real time sales. Metroid Prime 4 has charted higher than Kirby in Every NPD and UK chart since it's release. In fact Kibry has spent 1 week in the UK top 40, whereas Metroid Prime 4 has spent about 8. On the digital storefront this applies even more so... so although it's possible they're navigating price on this assumption, it's just strikes me as weird they're not basing it of actual real data... which is why I was thinking it could be a brand thing. Kirby has a stronger association with Nintendo/Mario etc for the masses, so they may not want to be shilling it out for cheap.

One thing that just dawned on me though, even if Kirby was only big in Japan, lowering prices elsewhere may also cause Japanese sale prices to take a hit (reselling of imports etc)
