I got into Resident Evil on the GameCube (with Remake and 4) and have been a huge fan ever since. However, RE 2 Remake and RE 3 Remake are quite different from the originals. Do you think it is worth playing these games in 2026 for someone like me? I played a bit of Resident Evil 2 a few years ago but not a whole lot. Would be curious to know what you guys think. |
I prefer the original re1 over the remake. The remake is too dark, as in the color palette is just brown and blue. The original has color , imagery stays vivid in the mind long after instopped playing. I think it was the first game that broke the idea that horror only comes in the dark.Remake was just too dim. Lost the magic of the original. Beat way to enjoy it on ps5 is put the resolution to original and use the filter that matches the ps1,
