Its accessories already did back in 2025, Nintendo is now suing the USA government over its tariffs bullshit.
They avoided increasing the price of the hardware last year to not affect the release, but now we get into the slower part of the first full year, and it has already sold a ton upfront, I do think they'll finally raise it and discount it back during Black Friday and holidays deals tho.
PS5 and XB both raised in price some time ago, XB did it twice actually.
The prices are completely out of control now for RAMs and SSDs, and I think Nintendo blew their older stock to guarantee NS2 could reach as many customers as possible, so they definitely should be getting way worse deals now.
Meanwhile Sony was already steadily purchasing components as usual and stockpilled it to avoid another price increase this year, as they didn't have to products as many PS5 all at the same time. They also reduced the PS5 internal SSD from 1TB back to 825GB as it originally had.
