Both Nintendo and Sony have had to come out and issue statements shutting down his claims on multiple occasions. 

The whole industry and many sources got behind the 4k Switch though. Digital foundary who don't play much in the rumour world were like they were definitely aware of hardware. I genuinely think the 4k Switch just got cancelled  

It's possible, but "we weren't wrong, plans just changed!" is awfully convenient for them. 

There's also plenty of other times Mochizuki has been wrong, he's just not that reliable.
