PS4 Pro is a decent version though, that video claims the Switch 2 version is base PS4 or below but the PS4 Pro has;
It feels to me the Switch 2 docked performance sits between PS4 and PS4 Pro as long as you are happy with 30fps but maybe that will change with the DLSS update. As for portable performance it feels around base PS4 with more consistent frame rate at 30fps but inferior graphically at 40 or 60fps. The Xbox One X has 4K resolution and enhanced detail over PS4 Pro too so that represents a higher performance level again. |
The SW2 version is also native 1440p at 30fps, and the PS4 Pro's framerate is less consistent than SW2. You needed to stay on a certain performance update (before the PS4 Pro patch) and play at 1080p to get a solid 30fps on PS4 Pro. Otherwise there were areas of the game that dropped into the mid 20's. The only big advantage the PS4 Pro and PS4 have shown over SW2 in this game (and some others) is shadow resolution, largely due to the higher memory bandwidth of these platforms.
With the DLSS patch the SW2 version will almost certainly exceed PS4 Pro overall, because then it can utilize more of its specialized hardware (tensor cores) to improve image quality further.
