Pragmata | Switch 2 vs ROG XBox Ally X

ROGX is struggling at 13W and FSR3 quality mode. It does work much better at 25W and FSR3 balanced.

For $1000 (2x+ the price) I expect better than that to be honest. That is reminiscent of the difference between like a PS2 and an XBox (OG) except there is a monstrous price difference. To say this is the same thing as the difference between a Switch 1 Lite and a Switch 2 is laughably misleading, this game would look and run terrible on a Switch 1 Lite if it could run at all (or games like Star Wars Outlaws or Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, good luck even getting those to run on a Switch 1 Lite).

$1000 is an extreme niche for any game device, it won't even sell Wii U or Vita numbers, probably not even Virtual Boy pace numbers (lol). Virtual Boy sold 770k in one year, I doubt the ROG Ally X can do even that. So that's about as close to irrelevant as you can get. If Nintendo were to make a $1000 machine they'd be morons, the system would sell worse than the Wii U, but if they did they'd likely get better performance than that. For $700-$800, Nintendo could give you likely an OLED display at 8-inches + double the CUDA cores at least + double the current Switch 2's RAM, though the system would be bulkier and heavier (but so is a ROG Ally X), and still be several hundred dollars cheaper.
