Naturally you will get lots of port announcements and so far I'd say it's an impressive amount. Easily the best year Nintendo has had support wise in decades

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined was announced at a Nintendo Direct, and we already know through countless interviews that Square plans to fully support the NS2 going forward, so it's 100% possible for a new FF to be announced at a Direct, just not at a *Partners Showcase* Direct as I explained already.

Yeah, that's what I mean. FF9 was my only realistic huge announcement, but broadly speaking I don't see many  devs taking SEs approach and I also think Dragon is unique in that its majority audience in Japan as this on Switch. But yeah, partner directs seem more intended for more updates and release scheduling, not biggies
