Depends on what criteria you're using.

In raw GPU compute, memory bandwidth, and CPU power yes, but on the flipside Switch 2 as a modern device has features more in line with PS5 like hardware raytracing support, fast I/O, and some things even the base PS5 doesn't have like machine learning capability.

Sure but new techniques are not going to close the gap in raw power.  Raw power is far more important.  A 5060 has newer features compared to a 3090.  A 3090 spanks a 5060.

At the end of the day, it can't be debated.  The S2 is closer to the ps4 then ps5 when it comes to performance.

In terms of raw pixels or FLOPs sure, but it depends on the game in question and its requirements; if you're running an 8th gen game, Switch 2 will fall far closer to PS4, but then when it comes to a current gen game that requires PS5 tier functionality like RT or leans heavily on fast data streaming, Switch 2 can do those things and PS4 can't.
