Alas that uptick only lasted 3 weeks. Now it seems that 1 million is indeed probably not going to happen.

I have to wonder if this is related to the news that Capcom's next 2 big games (RE9, Pragmata) will also come to Switch2?

That certainly didn't help PS5, but I feel the primary reason it can't maintain momentum is still the same as ever, that PS5's exclusives just don't resonate with the Japanese audience in the way that Nintendo's do.

If the Switch 2 wasn't newly launched, things may be different but alas the PS5 may actually be attractive to many consumers at that price but still not as enticing as a S2.
